Most likely, it’d be volunteers from New Zealand Search and Rescue, and they’re on the hunt for new recruits.
We had the privilege to be interviewed on 7 Sharp about YSAR scaling across New Zealand. YSAR is a long-term succession planning tool to provide a younger, more diverse volunteer workforce to Search and Rescue and Civil Defence Emergency Management.
I wanted to make sure I gave a big shout-out to all the amazing SAR and EM volunteers who go out in all weather conditions to train and search for the lost and rescue the injured. You all do an incredible job for your community… huge respect!
